Tip of the Week – Dockable Windows
In this edition of “Tip of the Week”:
What are Dockable Windows and how will they help?
Dockable Windows are windows that the user can relocate to other areas on the same screen or move to an additional screen should the user have multiple monitors. This process can increase the usable drawing area within the digitizer window and allows a user to customize the arrangement of the lists and digitizer.
How to use Dockable Windows:
Below are two examples how the user can arrange dockable windows:
Example 1. Moving all of the list windows (Pages, Takeoff Items, Bookmarks and Markup Items) to another computer monitor. This method allows the digitizer window to have access to a monitors entire screen area.
Example 2. Rearranging the position of the list windows within the plan tab. One method is to stack different lists “on top of each other”, thus providing more vertical viewing space. You can then view the desired list by clicking on the appropriate tab. Notice the tabs at the bottom of the Takeoff Items list for the Bookmarks and Markup Items lists.
